How EUMETSAT’s satellite missions help shine light on the climate crisis.
30 October 2012
The Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) instrument on EUMETSAT’s Metop-B has produced its first calibrated infrared spectrum on 24 October at 14:58 UTC
13 December 2018
A critical element of polar-orbiting meteorological satellite Metop-C’s payload – the Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) – delivered its first spectrum today.
Study implements the latest evolution of the Piece-Wise Linear (PWLR) Algorithm for IASI.
Shin Koyamatsu homes in on the most meaningful infrared sounder data
Using new machine learning methods to further the potential of EUMETSAT data
Detection and monitoring of instability from hyperspectral sounders, using IASI in view of MTG-IRS.
Study looking at the use of IASI Reconstructed Radiances in AC/AQ retrievals.
Exploring the potential and requirements of hyperspectral sounding products to severe storm short-range forecasting.
Hyperspectral missions have been providing key information to numerical weather prediction (NWP) for about two decades, e.g.
