Once the state-of-the-art Copernicus Sentinel-6 Michael Freilich satellite launches in November, it will collect the most accurate data yet on sea level — a key indicator of how Earth's warming climate is affecting the oceans, weather and coastlines.

As of today, EUMETSAT has responsibility for the full dual spacecraft operations of Sentinel-3A and 3B and the marine data production. In the coming few weeks, the team will complete those commissioning activities which could only be performed in the nominal orbital configuration and will ramp up the product releases.
